COVID-era deep work — building a game-tracker platform that monitored 100,000+ servers, launching a WooCommerce shop with 1,000+ customers, and going hard on full-stack craft.

The years 2019 to 2023 marked a profound transformation in my professional and personal development. Fueled by the unprecedented global pause during the COVID-19 lockdown, I leveraged this period to deepen my expertise, embark on ambitious projects, and expand my technical repertoire.

Building a Game Tracker Platform

One of the standout achievements during this time was the creation of my Game Tracker Platform Website. This project demanded a deep dive into socket communication and server-to-server interactions, technologies I had never explored at such depth before. I built the platform from the ground up, utilizing:

Node.js (Redis) for real-time data management.

PHP (MariaDB) for robust server-side operations.

This platform tracked over 100,000 servers continuously for a full year, a milestone that underscored my technical dedication and problem-solving abilities. It provided valuable insights into scalability, optimization, and the nuances of data-intensive applications.

Venturing Into E-Commerce

During this same period, I also entered the world of e-commerce, where I successfully launched and managed my own WooCommerce website. This platform specialized in selling digital products, and within its first year, it attracted an impressive customer base of over 1,000 clients.

Key technologies and skills included:

Payment Integration: Seamlessly incorporating APIs from Paysafe, PayPal, Stripe, Revolut, SMS Mobile Payments, Coinbase, and Binance to automate and secure transactions.

E-commerce Platforms: Mastering tools like Shopify and WooCommerce to implement dropshipping and advanced automation techniques.

Customer Support: Prioritizing user experience with responsive service and intuitive design.

Enhancing Development Skills

Through personal projects and professional challenges, I significantly broadened my technical toolkit:

Design Frameworks: Leveraging TailwindCSS and Bootstrap to create clean, functional, and responsive interfaces.

PHP Advances: Exploring Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectures, culminating in the development of my own custom MVC framework. This framework became the backbone of a statistics website for gaming.

Version Control: Utilizing GitHub for meticulous project management, ensuring organized, accessible, and collaborative codebases.

These efforts not only enhanced my technical fluency but also instilled best practices for workflow efficiency.

Adapting and Innovating

Beyond technical achievements, I embraced the value of resilience and adaptability. While not all projects achieved their intended goals, they provided invaluable lessons about user needs, platform scalability, and iterative development. Each endeavor contributed to my ability to innovate, pivot, and grow.

A Journey of Growth

From conceiving and executing large-scale projects to building customer-centric solutions, the years 2019–2023 were transformative. They equipped me with cutting-edge technical skills, honed my business acumen, and reinforced the importance of embracing challenges as opportunities for growth.
