Transition to Web Hosting and Programming

In 2017 – 2019, my professional journey took a transformative turn as I transitioned from gaming community management to focusing on web hosting services and programming. This shift marked the beginning of a new chapter, where I combined my technical expertise with entrepreneurial aspirations to build a thriving business in the web hosting and development industry.

Building My Own Web Hosting Platform

Recognizing the growing demand for reliable hosting solutions, I took the leap to create my own web hosting platform. This endeavor required extensive research, skill-building, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. I developed and launched a website that catered to a diverse range of clients, offering tailored hosting solutions for their unique needs.

Mastering Hosting Tools and Technologies

During this period, I delved deep into the technical aspects of web hosting and programming. I gained hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and technologies, including:

  • WHMCS: Streamlining billing and automation for hosting services.
  • Virtualization: Leveraging Virtualizor and VMware to create scalable hosting environments.
  • Control Panels: Managing hosting environments using cPanel, HestiaCP, VestaCP, Ajenti, and Froxlor.
  • Optimization and Security: Enhancing website performance through speed optimization, managing firewall rules, and integrating cloud services like Cloudflare.

These tools and technologies equipped me with the skills to provide robust and efficient hosting solutions.

Expanding My Portfolio and Clientele

With a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, I grew my client base to over 50 satisfied customers. My clients came from various industries, including:

  • News websites
  • Gaming forums
  • Local businesses
  • WooCommerce-based online shops

By offering personalized services and solutions, I was able to meet the diverse needs of my clients while building long-term professional relationships.

Insights into the Hosting Industry

My journey also included managing a portfolio of over 40 domains and forming partnerships with 20 reputable hosting providers, such as OVH, A2 Hosting, Hostinger, SiteGround, Bluehost, Vultr, HostGator, GoDaddy, Namecheap, IONOS, and Contabo. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into the hosting industry, both as a service provider and as a client, enabling me to optimize costs and improve service quality.

Reflecting on a Pivotal Year

The year 2017 to 2019 was a period of immense growth and learning. It laid the foundation for my expertise in web hosting and programming while instilling in me the entrepreneurial spirit to keep pushing boundaries. This transition not only expanded my technical skill set but also deepened my understanding of client needs and industry trends.
